Jesus calls us to share his good news with people everywhere. We do that here at home through local outreach, and we support people serving around the world through financial giving, prayer, and encouragement.
We're part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, a family of churches with missionary roots. Helping people know Jesus around the world is still at the heart of who we are.
Our church supports Alliance Missions by giving to the Great Commission Fund. This fund supports missionaries, whom the Alliance calls international workers, as they share the good news of Jesus and serve their communities.
Our goal is for that giving to equal 10% of what people give to our church's general fund. Half goes toward general support for Alliance international workers, and half is designated for specific workers with whom our church has a special relationship.
We currently support Alliance workers serving in France and East Africa. For their security, we don't publish their names online.
To give, select “Great Commission Fund” on our online giving page or write “Great Commission Fund” on your offering envelope.

Alliance Missions has four branches. Each takes a different approach to helping people know Jesus.
aXcess - These workers share the good news of Jesus with people who have few opportunities to hear it. They help people follow Jesus and help new churches get started.
CAMA Services - These workers provide disaster relief and help communities recover and meet ongoing needs. They share the love of Jesus through practical help.
Marketplace Ministries - These workers use their professions to serve in communities around the world. Through their work and everyday relationships, they help people get to know Jesus.
Envision - Envision offers short-term trips, internships, and opportunities to serve alongside local ministries. These experiences help people learn to share Jesus and serve others.

Some of the people we support serve outside the Alliance. These relationships are personal. They include people who have been part of our church and now serve in other parts of the world.
Our church has sent young adults on short-term mission trips to Africa. Vanessa Watetu and Monica Slatton now serve there on longer-term assignments.
Vanessa, Kenya
Vanessa lives in Kilgoris, Kenya, where she met her husband, Allan. They're now raising their young son, Cairo. Together, Vanessa and Allan lead a youth ministry, helping young people grow in their faith and follow Jesus. Allan also teaches and mentors students at a Bible school. Vanessa continues her ministry work while caring for Cairo.
Monica, Africa
Monica is serving on a three-year mission assignment in Africa, working primarily with children. She helps lead children's outreach events and trains local church teachers to keep serving children in their communities after the visiting teams leave.
Tristan and Beth Mohagen attended Community Alliance before moving to Honduras. Today, they lead El Ayudante, a Christian ministry serving families in the Comayagua area. Our church continues to support them and their work.
El Ayudante works with local leaders to meet needs such as clean drinking water, safe bathrooms, and better housing. The ministry also provides medical care and helps students stay in school through tutoring and scholarships. Through this work and their relationships with local churches, they help people know Jesus and grow in their faith.

Our church participates in Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse that sends shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and personal care items to children around the world.
Local churches give out the shoeboxes and share the good news of Jesus with the children who receive them. Many children then take part in The Greatest Journey, a 12-lesson program that helps them learn to follow Jesus and share their faith with others.
