Local Missions at Community Alliance Church

Serve West Contra Costa with the Love of Jesus

Jesus didn’t just talk about love; He showed it. And in Matthew 25, He told us exactly what that love looks like: feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, visiting the sick and the prisoner, and caring for those the world often overlooks.

That list is our guide.

Through our Local Missions ministry, we’re putting those words into action across Richmond and West Contra Costa County. We’re showing up for our neighbors with compassion that’s real, consistent, and centered on Christ. Because kindness without Christ only helps for a moment—but Jesus brings lasting hope and healing.

We’re starting small and local—helping families, serving schools, and partnering with community organizations—asking God to expand that impact one block at a time.

If you want to live out your faith in practical ways, there’s a place for you here. Bring your time, your ideas, or simply your willingness to serve.

What We Do Locally

Community Alliance Church serves our neighbors in West Contra Costa through a handful of annual outreaches and ongoing partnerships.

  • Angel Tree — Each Christmas, we partner with Prison Fellowship to provide gifts to children of incarcerated parents in our community.
  • Annual Back-to-School Event — Every August, we gather school supplies and host an outreach for local kids preparing for the new school year.
  • Back to Church Sunday — Every fall, we host an outreach Sunday designed to welcome neighbors who haven't been to church in a while.
  • Volunteer Service — We send teams of volunteers to serve alongside our ministry partners across Richmond and West Contra Costa.

Our Ministry Partners

Community Alliance Church supports local and global ministries that share the gospel and serve communities in need. We partner with these organizations through giving, prayer, and shared work.

  • Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) — Trains leaders and hosts local Good News Clubs across Richmond and the surrounding neighborhoods.
  • Bay Area Rescue Mission — Offers essentials and support to those experiencing homelessness in our region.
  • Young Life — Reaches teenagers in West Contra Costa County with the gospel through relational ministry.
  • The Gideons International — Shares God's Word through Bible distribution and outreach.

Ministries That Use Our Campus

We open our building during the week to other churches and ministries serving Richmond and the surrounding neighborhoods. These churches are not part of Community Alliance, but we're honored to share our space so they can serve and reach people with the love of Jesus.
